The site is 900 m from the station where you catchthe «Trinnichellu», the small, very picturesque trainlinking Bastia and Ajaccio, to spend a day discoveringVizzavona and the Cascade des Anglais. 400m away, on the same road, are all commodities;supermarket, local produce; fruit and vegetables,butchers, a tobacconist, newspaper shop, bakery,cake shop, hospital. 10 minutes walk away is thetown centre with its shopping street: The Cours Paoliand the old town, the Citadel and the CorsicanMuseum. The site is located on the banks of theRestonica, one of the two rivers in Corte that rises inthe valley of the same name and which is one of the22 classified great sites in France. The absence oftraffic, other than that related to the campsite, makesit particularly peaceful. In the height of summer,the freshness of the bicentennial olive trees makesfor pleasant nights compared to the seaside. On ariverbank, the absence of mosquitoes compared toother regions should be noted.The Restonica valley: 17 km of road with controlledtraffic before arriving at the terminus of the Grotellesheep farms, the starting point of the Mello lakesand Capitello footpath - the most visited of the sevenlakes in the region - and of varying difficulty.300 m away is the starting point for the Tavignanovalley footpaths with the possibility of joining up withthe GR20 or climbing Monte Cinto in the Niolu.
